Enhancing the security of the freelancer's account

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional security measure that keeps your personal information safe during sign-in. You will still need to enter a verification code from an SMS when linking payment methods.

Here's how you enable 2FA:

  • Log in to your Mellow account and go to the Profile page by clicking your name.

  • Select the Security tab.

  • In the "Two-factor authentication" box, click Turn on and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Important! From now on, you will need to enter a code from an app when logging in to your account. These codes refresh constantly, so there is no need to memorize them.

What if my code doesn’t work?

It may be because the time isn’t correctly synced on your Google Authenticator app. To set the correct time:

  1. Go to the main menu of the Google Authenticator app.

  2. Tap More -> Settings.

  3. Select Time correction for codes.

  4. Tap Sync now.

On the next screen, the app confirms the time has been synced. The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app, and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.

Important! To disable two-factor authentication for your account, contact Mellow support via live chat.

If you have any questions, contact us from your account via chat or at [email protected].
