You can create an offer both in the Mellow app (available in the App Store and on Google Play) and in the web version at mellow.io.
From the main menu, go to "Offers" and select "Create new".
Step 1. Offer name and client
Enter the offer name and select the client from the list (provided you have already sent offers to them). If the client isn't registered with Mellow yet, select "New" and add them.
When adding a new client, you need to specify their legal entity's country of registration and their email address (we recommend asking the client in advance which email they wish the offer to be sent to). Click “Next“.
Step 2. Offer price
Enter the offer price and select who will pay the Mellow fee.
Mellow has a fixed fee for creating an offer, which is 5% of its price. You can choose who pays the fee, you or the client; when you do, and the final amount will be calculated automatically.
If you choose to pay the Mellow fee, your remuneration will be reduced by 5%. Meanwhile, the client will pay the price of the offer, VAT (if applicable for their country), and the bank's commission for the transfer of funds to Mellow. If the client covers the fee, then you will receive the exact amount you specified under "Price".
Important! When making a bank transfer to Mellow, the client must indicate that they are paying the transfer commission in full. If they instead pass on half of the bank commission to the payment recipient, the final amount of the transfer will be insufficient to pay for the offer.
Step 3. Service category, attributes
Select the service category from the alphabetical list or do a keyword search.
If there's no exact match for your particular services, select the closest one. If there's no suitable service category at all, contact support via chat for help.
Next, select at least three attributes for your services and specify their values.
Be sure to provide the real values, because the bank may request you to confirm the works performed. Accounting documents with properly filled attributes are crucial for dealing with any AML inquiries banks might have.
Indicate whether the services have been already provided and click “Next“.
If you are yet to provide the services, select the date in the calendar when you are to submit the work for review to the client.
Step 4. Previewing the offer and sending it to the client
Before sending the offer to the client, you can preview it to double-check all the details. If everything is correct, copy the offer link and send it to your client.
The client will need to click "Continue" to sign up for Mellow and accept the offer. After that, they will be able to download an invoice to fund their Mellow balance and pay for the offer.
If you have previously worked with the client via Mellow, you can issue them an invoice right away.
If you have any questions, we'll be happy to answer them in the support chat.
