Verification requirements for freelancer account

Users' protection, maximum security of their activities and financial transactions is the priority of the Mellow service.

Following these principles Mellow undertakes all the necessary steps to comply with the requirements of laws and regulations which are aimed to counteract money laundering, terrorism financing and fraud in the field of Internet communications and online payments.

Account verification is a confirmation of the personal data authenticity and documents. Please click on your name in your personal account to pass verification and start the process.

Please, be informed that account verification is not a requirement for all users.

Mandatory verification is required in the following cases:

  1. To perform tasks related to the transfer of intellectual property rights;

  2. To perform tasks related to ad placement at the territory of Russia;

  3. If verification is your customer's requirement;

  4. To change your phone number/email address or disable the Google Authenticator setting in your account;

  5. If you are a Russian Federation resident planning to withdraw more, than 15000 rubles per year and your tax form is "individual";

  6. If you are a Russian self-employed;

  7. If you are a resident of any country (except Russia) planning to withdraw more than €2500 (or equivalent in other currencies) per year;

  8. To perform tasks for residents of the following countries and territories: Afghanistan, Algeria, Anguilla, Angola, American Samoa, Barbados, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gibraltar, Guam, Haiti, Guam, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Vanuatu, Virgin Islands (US), Venezuela, Viet Nam, Yemen, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Monaco, Myanmar, Namibia, Nigeria, Palau, Panama, Philippines, Samoa, Senegal, South Africa, South Africa, Syria, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, UAE, Yemen. South Sudan, Jamaica.

The account verification procedure is carried out using modern technologies. As a result, it helps us to be safer in many ways, including anti-fraud terms, involvement in extremist or terrorist activities, or other unreliable information about users. To get verified, read through the document requirements in the Verification rules article and then go to the Profile page of your account.

How do we process and protect your personal data?

We do our best to ensure maximum protection of users' personal data and use it only for processing purposes without access of a wide range of people. Mellow has no intent to process/store your personal data if it's not required for the purpose of providing the user with full access to the service.

Being a legal entity of the European Union Member State, Mellow primarily complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter - “GDPR”) and, in pursuance of this regulation, strictly follows Mellow's Privacy Policy. Only authorized personnel of our company can view, edit or modify the data received from the users. All connections to the server are made through VPN and using appropriate security methods.

Additional measures to comply with the requirements of Russian legislation

Mellow is a service where users carry out financial transactions, that's why we are obliged to comply with regulatory requirements for identifying users because of direct indication of Article 7 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation dated 07.08.2001 №115 "Federal Law on Prevention of Legalization of Criminal Profits (Money Laundering) and Terrorism Financing". Personal data, that is received and stored including biometric (information about the physiological and biological characteristics of a person, that make it possible to establish person's identity), is collected, processed and stored in compliance with the requirements of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation dated on 27.07.2006 №152 "Personal Data Act".
